Who can register to vote?

All Pennsylvanians can register to vote, if they’re:

• A citizen of the United States for at least 30 days before the next election.
• A resident of Pennsylvania and your election district for at least 30 days before the next election.
• At least 18 years of age on the day of the next election.

When is the deadline to register?

The deadline to register to vote in the general elections is October 21, 2024.

How do I register online?

You can register in just three easy steps:

• Fill out this form on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
• Your county elections office will review the application.
• When your registration is complete, you will receive your voter registration card in the mail.

Tip: Before you begin, be sure to have your Pennsylvania driver’s license or PennDOT ID card handy. If you don’t have one, you can upload a signature or print and sign the form.

If your voter registration card does not come in the mail within 14 days, contact your county voter registration office.

Are there other ways to register to vote?

Yes! You can:

• Mail in your voter registration application to your county voter registration office. Find your local county office here. Note: your request must have been received by October 21, 2024 to vote in the general elections.
• Register in person at your county voter registration office or at a PennDOT location near you.

What if I recently moved?

No problem! You can update the address on file with the Pennsylvania Department of State by filling out the voter registration form and selecting “change of address.” It’s important to keep your address updated to ensure you can receive and cast your ballot. You can also use the state’s form if you’ve changed your legal name, or if you want to change your political party.
